I ordered the blue ox universal tabs from Amazon to tow my expedition on Sunday. The package was lost in transit and they aren't delivering it. Does anyone know where I can buy these locally near McKinney, TX? I'll drive a bit if I have to....I'm in crunch time now:

You should be able to call Blue Ox to find a distributor close to you Scott.  BTW they look very close to Roadmaster which I have.  I think Camping World covers both makes, but not sure.  Worth looking up.

You should be able to get those at Camping World in Denton about 30 miles from McKinney

Wonderful. I didn't know if CW carried them but I was going to call tomorrow. I was panicking a little because I just finished wiring up the lights on the toad to the coach. Wife is 25 weeks preggo and I have a two year old. Didn't exactly want to have her drive from Texas to California following me in the bus...really need to be able to tow the beast.

Camping World carries both Blue Ox and Roadmaster, but I would call them first to check availability.  My experience is that they don't carry much in stock, maybe one of each, but they may not sell you the  pins out of them.  If they don't have them in stock, perhaps they can tell you which other stores have them to save you a lot of driving around.

There are also about 4 RV Facilities in McKinney so I would google them and call them first. At least one of them should have what you need.  These pins get lost/stolen quite a bit.

That's what I like about this forum.  Help is immediately on the way!  Good job Gary and all.  Jack

Scott -

You can get those "locking pins" - the pin with the flip-over ring - at just about any hardware store.  Our local ACE here in little ol' Cheney, WA has them in various sizes, roughly a couple bucks each.

Scott, there are multiple RV dealers off Interstate 35 in Lewisville (including Mays RV), and an RV Repair Place in Carrollton (Blue Moon).  If you don't have any luck with your current sources, try them.

I'm in Carrollton, which is adjacent to Lewisville.  If needed, (and if you're sure they have the right thing over the phone), I could pick up the item and meet you at the woodworking store I visit in Plano, I-75 & Plano Parkway.

Obviously you're better to pick them up yourself so you can see that it's the right unit, but this is an option for you.  I'm caught up on work for the moment, so have some time available.  My phone is nine seven two - four six six four six one one.

Scott,

Your post made me think whether mine fit my baseplate or not, since I haven't used it yet.

But --as I read this late at night last night while I was craving a snack, my first thought was STRAWBERRY OR RASBERRY  :D :D

Lol. You guys crack me up. Thanks so much for the help. I was able to order the part and Amazon overnighted it. But realized they only sent one not two. So here I am with one...and I need two. I'm pulling my hair out. Called Blue Ox and called every single rv/truck place around and no one carries them in stock. So I'll be paying to have it overnighted. Boo.
