MANY MANY of the members here have done exactly that!
Some have websites that show their builds in detail Gumpy has an excellent example!

Also Scott has done two of themand has posted many many updates here on the board while doing so.

Also check the "Projects" section here on this board. Many fine threads there!

Bob Glines has done 3 coaches from gut to finish and has even put slides in the last 2 and has an awesome '98 Prevost w/3 slides to show for all his hard work!

There are plenty of others who have done super nice coaches here too.

Thanks Bryce. As he said we converted an MCI-9 8 years ago from a seated bus into a full living quarters coach including a 9" roof raise...photos here: https://goo.gl/photos/GVtNRniG2RBXPuXW9

Last summer (2016) I spent 13 ridiculous weeks (the most stressful time of my life frankly) converting an MCI-102C3 from an empty shell bus into a full living quarters coach with two bathrooms, a full kitchen, laundry area and bedroom with a king bed. It was insane and the coach isn't nearly done but here's a couple shots before and after:

Kinda hard to know how you could convert a bus to a motorhome WITHOUT going through a 'gutted' stage.

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

Beatiful , I have the same make/model mci , what did you do to delete those rubber fenders , i priced new at over 300 each x 6 fenders = no way , dont like the way they look , yours is sharp , any pointers appreciated , thanks Gene

Yep we have two tanks, 150 gallon freshwater and 150 gallon black/grey combo. Generators are twin Honda EU3000is gennies wired in parallel for 6000 watts of juice. Quiet and can run 24 hours on 6 gallons of fuel.

Fenders were just plain removed. Tried the fiberglass ones and didn't like them, wanted flush fenders so I had my uncle use his metal shop to make 1/8" thick aluminum fenders which I glued and riveted on. Flush, clean, and I love them.
