I've not been in the details on Eagle pricing but even a ballpark figure is difficult due to many reasons previously mentioned. What makes the range quite wide all come down to the market for this coach and the market is bounded by several factors.

Typically, one assigns a value starting with a coach in running condition so a complete survey can establish an accurate assessment of the operational and functioning systems. Like any non-running auto the value is seriously diminished for the same reason.

One approach is to start with an estimated value assuming the coach is fully functioning then taking deductions based on what is unknown or not working. The other way is to start with a salvage value and add on for what is known.

Since the coach is not running, towing charges affect the number or prospective buyers. It seems like a radius of 500-1000 miles would be generous.

Lastly, the level of effort and time the organization expends marketing the coach influences the final price. There are several auction sites besides eBay but collectively these reach the largest market in the most efficient manner. An interesting strategy might be to list the coach on several auction sites with the same close time. Offers would come in from the most folks at the same time.

Setting a value for your friend - a large range would be prudent to set realistic expectations. Something ranging from salvage value minus some number for tow fees and salvage prep costs to the maximum defined as average market for a similar running coach minus some figure to repair the motor. It seems something like 5k would set reasonable expectation with the folks. A range of 3k to 15k would offer an indication of the wide range of what it might fetch.

Scott crosby has been pretty successful doing the in place...it isn't that hard.
there is a fair price...and then there is cheap.
one could henpeck any coach out there to,......cheap.

You guys all have great points. I'm hoping to actually lay eyes and hands on the coach myself at some point here. There's no rush, just a guy with a dead bus who wants to sell it and donate the $$ to a mission he believes in. I'm merely the resident bus guy trying to help facilitate that. I'll take some photos and video and report back when I eventually do see it. Coach is indeed in Kansas City.

That puppy has a 8v92 stuffed in there has the 05 or early 10 front engine mount

It might be a Model 05, the front window looks like a stock 05, the second one looks like a Peninsula slider. It has good siding, it might have been redone, and the side mirrors look like good Ramco's. There is good value here, someone who can afford to transport it will have something to work with.

David at Davids Coach has a couple of 8V92'S ready to go .One other option depending where the crack is ,it may be possible to weld the block for a temp fix.

The 8v92 has a 2 inch freeze plug for each cylinder 3 on each end of the engine and 2 on each head it almost impossible to crack a block from freezing he may have lost a freeze plug why else would he have the cam gears and covers off.It's a hella of job replacing all the freeze plugs on a 8v92 he may not be up to the task of replacing the rear freeze plugs

Ok so more photos. It has an Allison 740. 8kw generac plumbed into main fuel tank. Two Stainless 80 gallon holding tanks. Tires are 9 years old but have 90% tread or more. No roof raise. He's confirmed it is 6ft interior height floor to ceiling. Coach has been and is being currently stored inside a nice metal pole building out of the weather.


Out of respect for the forum Admin and the paid classifieds section I won't post any more info here as this originally was intended to be an info gathering post as to value for the coach and I don't want it to turn into a free classified ad. Thanks for the help identifying the coach. I'll be helping the owner try to get this sold. I was hoping someone would recognize the coach and tell us more about it but i think we are all set.
