I have a friend who is trying to find out if someone will buy this Eagle with a cracked 6v92 block (it froze in the cold).  Anyone have any guesses on the value? It's being donated to a mission organization and my friend in the organization asked me how to go about finding a buyer. They are willing to let it go cheap. But I don't know the particulars. Seems like a nice Eagle.

If it was exposed the cold long enough to freeze the block, other systems may be damaged as well. For example, the house plumbing may have cracked lines

Yep !Just what I started to say .If the PO didn't know that you needed anti freeze ,wonder what other items have been over looked??? After seeing what Eagles in good shape are going for,I would think that one with a bad motor wouldn't be worth very much!!

Looks like it was a well cared for Eagle at 1 time the ride height is good that is a plus ,the sides are straight and has a 7 or 8 inch raised roof,awnings,3 roof airs and likely a diesel generator in the 12k range
That  could be a sleeper if the tow bill didn't kill the deal that, maybe a early model 10 looking at it again made in the 80's

Not a smart=@$$ comment, Don, but  basically, if you can't find anybody to buy something at $X price, it's not worth $X -- at least on the market.  We know the cost, but the value down the road -- that's different.

None have value down the road lol only what people will pay. I been trying to deal on a 2009 Blue Bird with 3 slides and 600 hp Cummins the owner paid around a mil for new we are down to about a 1/5 th of what he paid for it, has under 70,000 miles total

Yikes.   Just his depreciation alone is about $11.43 per mile.   And people wonder why I don't just go out and buy a new RV instead of spending time making my own.

I think the real test of value is what price is arrived at in a live auction attended by sober and sane people who know the item and actually have the money to pay for it. Old buses have value, but not necessarily in dollars. This Eagle will be of value to the right person who can fix it with the parts they already have, or can get at a reasonable price.

And people wonder why I make do and make my own bits for my bus. The answers simple - when the time comes to sell, it's not going to be worth $#!% even if I spent $10,000,000 on having ut professionally done.

before i'll consider an insulting offer on mine..i'll give it away.

at least i'd feel good about it.

maybe my interpretation of "not much" is what's off here.

people say all the time that any coach is worth more than any sticks MH.

and then the same folks will point at a coach that needs an engine and say not much...

if you Want something better than a S&S...you gotta pay more, not less.
