After letting the bus sit outside for the last year and a half, I have finally begun the work of building a home for her. I just found that working outside it was always either to hot or to cold to do anything worthwhile inside the bus. Outside work wasnt so bad during the summer but out of the question for winter. I tried using a propane heater inside to keep it warm while working, (yes fresh air supplied) but it was condensing so bad that everything was damp. Summer on the other hand boiled us out once the old insulation was gone and the bus was at bare metal.
So a barn it needs.
So far we have cleared an area of 40x40, then back filled that to a depth of 4 feet. Our yard slopes. We then made our forms and got to work shaping the ground for the 18" thickened edge slab with a 5" center. We then had 15 steel driven piers put in and once all the rebar was in it was tied to the piers. Lastly before concrete we installed two floor drains plumbed straight out the side about 8" down below the floor line.
Pouring day came and went with no hitches or surprises and the weather was thankfully nice. We managed to put a 1" slope in the floor from the outer edge to the floor drains and subsequent rain has shown it works well.
We are currently working on building the arches as it is an all steel building. Hope to raise them this weekend, if the rain they promise stays away. Iwill keep everyone posted.
Thanks, Ryan.

Ryan where highway # 1 meets # 207 there was a 5 acre parcel on the SW corner we had a small saw mill in the building on site.
This was in the 70's :)
