Really Bad News, Mike Killed in Crash, Lori has to sell bus!

Some of you may remember Mike and Lori Murray in Phoenix who bought my old MC7. They have done a ton of work to it in preparation for going full time in November. Lori just called me to let me know Mike was killed in a motorcycle accident earlier this week. What a shock!!! I was just speaking to him a little while back. He was so excited to be almost finished remodeling and getting ready to go full time. Lori is a wreck! She said she can hardly stand to see the bus setting in the drive because it was their dream. Please keep Lori and the other family members in your thoughts and prayers.

Hadn't seen Mike on the board for awhile now and remember Mike getting your Bus Tom and the crab cakes for Clifford. He shall be sorely missed. Thought and prayers from us to Lori.

Thanks to all for your condolences. I am actually having trouble getting my head around this too. Mike and I texted frequently on bus related topics. He was completely redoing the interior and was almost done. They were planning on going full time in by November but Mike wanted the bus to be ready in October for a few local shakedown trips. I had just warned him 2 weeks ago to get rid of that motorcycle!!! Lori is so upset she can hardly talk but the best I can understand is he was caught between 2 cars.

What a shame!!! You guys that ride please be careful and watch out for the other guy!!

Motorbikes and mopeds are ideal modes of transport. The problem is too many car drivers don't actively look for them. I trust that everybody will take extra care to look for motorbikes and cyclists and yes that includes those that ride with no lights, at night in contravention to the laws of the land and of common sense.

Scott, here are some pics of when I owned the bus. Mike hasn't changed to outside as far as I know but he has completely remodeled the inside so he could foam insulate it.

Our condolences to you. We are bikers ourselves as well as owning a MCI 7. I had heard about a biker being killed last week, had no idea he was one of us. So sorry some inattentive 4 wheeler has caused you so much grief. May god be with you and yours.
