Looks like I'm on the list to drive evacuation busses. I guess I'll be evacuating people from Charleston if the call comes. It should be a fun trip.

If it rains a lot You'll need a snorkel like this guy has!

Nah, that's a refill system for urea-based DEF.   You put a goat on the bus roof, and then it pees into the blue pipe . . .   That bus gets good MPG (miles per goat).

While that sure looks like that could be a goat def system I don't think they have the air quality standards that we have over here.

It could be a snorkel, but that bus would be a boat long before that snorkel would be needed.

Zephod

While it looks like they put a huge air filter on the roof - presumably to deal with sandstorms, I do like the goat idea.

He's right probably some sort of sand storm prefilter. Thankful we don't have to deal with that here

That looks more like Laos.   Afghans use nice old Mercedes buses, often second-hand from German tour companies.

When Mt St Helens blew, the only way Police cars could keep running was to mount huge truck type air cleaners on the front bumper. Was rather weird looking, but worked-kept them running in the severe dust. Good Luck, TomC

That is great!! Boy NC sure didn't have any amenities back in my driving day's .No ps .no air seat no air brakes or power brakes and no AC or auto transmissions.Still no AC or Air seats .I think the only reason they started getting PS ,PB AND auto tranny's was so they could entice more girls to drive these things .Keeping the driver seats full is a big thing nowadays!!!

The problem is wages and hours. You're not going to keep staff on $8.50 an hour and 180 days a year. My district bumps up the state salary to $14 but even so, $14 at 6 hours a day and 180 days a year isn't going to attract too many people that want to stick with the job for very long.
