For all of you making the trip to Evansville, I have an offer for you. I've made a deal with my local Chevron distributor here in Arizona on a skid load of Delo 100 40wt at $18.60/Gallon. While it might not be the absolute BEST deal you've ever seen, it's delivered and no tax.  Besides, if you're driving your coach to Evansville, you'll need a gallon or so when you get there anyway.
I'm going to load up my coach with as many cases of Delo 100 as i can fit in a Scenicruiser and the toad, and then haul it to Evansville for anyone that wants to pre-order it here. We have about a 10 day window for the orders to be placed because they only order a couple of times a month. The distributor will get it in (because, of course.... they don't stock it) and I'll then have time to pick it up and load the coach. We're leaving Arizona on the 16th.

The Link below will take you to the PayPal site where you can order the quantity you want and pay for your order. You DO NOT have to have a PayPal account to use this. You can log in as a guest and just use your credit card.

I get a gallon of delvac 40wt for $12 at wwilliams in Grand Rapids. I load up when I'm there. Good oil, excellent price.

I've never seen Delo 100 for that kind of price. WW Williams here in Tucson doesn't even stock it, "We can order it for you". The local Fleet Pride dealer doesn't stock it either.
If you can get it for that price, and actually get it.... go for it, and perhaps you can load your coach up with oil for Evansville. :)

p.s. After I posted this it just bugged me. So.... I called WW Williams in Grand Rapids. According to Gerard, the parts guy, They stock Delvec 40wt at..... wait for it..... $18.43/gallon. If you're generator customer with a maintenance contract "maybe" you'll get it for $15.05 but..... that's actually at a loss with the hope they'll find more "issues" that are billable.

So Scott, you might want to check again and make sure Guido at the loading dock is still working there.... and go stock up. :)

Shoot. It's gone up. I bought several gallons there about three years ago and it was $12.45 a gallon. I have the receipt somewhere filed away. Still $18.40 ain't bad. 20cents cheaper than Evansville lol

I can confirm the Grand Rapids W Williams price.  I bought 3 cases of 40 wt Delvac for 18 and change per gallon.  No groceries for a while but I have oil.   ;D

When WW Williams rotates their stock here in Phoenix they do have some good buys on antifreeze and the Delvac 1240.
You can order the Delvac 1240 from Walmart on line (104056)for $17.96 a gal but the shipping kills the deal. There is no excuse for 40w costing $5.00 a gal more than 15/40 C rated oil

I have to ask a question here... and I am in No way trying to undermine Jeff's efforts to help fellow bus nuts. What dictates a good quality of petroleum lubricant besides big name brand? There are oils out there that are domestically manufactured in the US & Canada that cost almost half of the going prices from companies like Chevron or Shell. These companies have been around since the mid 30s and are endorsed by the American Petroleum Institute. There are some reviews that are surfacing with excellent oil analysis results of these generic oils used in Detroit two strokes of CF2 spec. I have personally ran generics in Canada & US in our bus (at the time more through necessity than choice) and tend to wonder why it seems like voodoo sometimes on the bus forums to use these "generics". We're talking as low as at times $9.40/ gal by the one gal pail. Is it just the inability for us to "change without confidence" or is there concrete information that makes these oils "less" advantageous for us to run? just saying (& really wondering) in my years of fixed income with a bargain... The two companies I am referring to are: Miles Lubricants out of Farmingdale NY since 1937 (available on line) and Nemco Lubricants & Chemicals out of Winnipeg Canada available at Canadian Walmart's.

I've been using the Super Tech brand in 5 gal pails from Canadian Walmarts for years. It is good oil. About half as much as the big name brands.

Warren is the Walmart supplier of oil in the USA I don't know about Canada. The suppliers list on DD approved oils are the only ones that have been tested and approved, the rating by others really don't mean much like the Amsol 15/40 meets the DD specs for 2 strokes but they rate it that way anyways and people buy it
