Seems like getting a replacement rubber fender for the rear wheels on our 4106 is going to be difficult. All the usual places are out at the moment.

Has anyone had any experience with the flexible brush spray suppressants? They look like they'd work well to keep the road spray contained to the wheel well. They also look like they'd keep a similar look to the original, at least from more than a few feet away.

My thought is that they could be somehow mounted to the inside of the wheel well opening or perhaps in the channel where the original rubber piece mounted.

Thoughts?

Thanks - Richard.

Have you checked Orr & Orr?   They have the exact fender moldings for my bus  -  maybe they have something that will work for you?

I just called Orr and Orr, they didn't have anything that's application specific, just the pacer performance line of trim in rolls.

But maybe there is something there we can use from Pacer...

Thanks John. I saw things like that, but I don't think that there is any way to make them lay flat - they would want to stick straight out from the sides like they do on mud trucks.

My thought on the brush spray suppressant systems is that they are meant to follow pretty much the same flat shape as OEM. I've seen them used on utility trucks like garbage trucks - just wasn't sure if anyone has had any luck getting them to mount. I was hoping that they could be sandwiched between the aluminum trim (that holds on the OEM fenders) and the body.

Found a company selling them in Michigan.

As an alternative, you could use 4905 fender rubbers. The opening size is most likely the same. The fenders aren't as wide, but do the same function. Check some 4905 images. They may be hard to find also.

Has anyone ever seen fiberglass fenders on a 4106?

Seems like they would work (at least on the rear) and not be too difficult to mold/fabricate. Painted flat black they would look pretty much like the original.
