I'm at the point I want to buy my inverter/charger for my truck. In my bus, I have an old Trace 2512 modified sine wave inverter/charger that has given me zero problems since installing in 1994.
I'm looking at the Magnum MSH3012M hybrid pure sine wave. The hybrid standby is a nice feature. But maybe better just to stick with the Magnum MS2812 pure sine wave inverter/charger.
Any of you have experience with either of these inverter/chargers? Good Luck, TomC

Yeah but technology and competent build quality can change.

I have experience with neither. I have an Aims inverter charger 3000 watt, working well.  The Magnum and Trace seem like  next tier options.  Am I wrong to be putting Victron near the top in my mental list?

Magnums are made in Washington state, are repairable and in most cases field-serviceable, and seem very high quality.   I bought a refurbished MS2000-15B for a lot less than new price, and I'm happy with it.   I had initially thought of getting a Samlex or similar TSW inverter and a separate charger, but they would have together cost more than I got my Magnum for.

I run a Trace 2515 MSW and a Xantrex Freedom 2500 MSW... both made by the same people who make Magnum. Both with integral chargers.

i run flat screen tv and amps and computers, toaster and refridgerator, microwave toothbrushes...scanners printer...chargers/wall warts...not all at the same time.

I have had zero appliance losses with either.

I think not all MSW's are created equal.

While researching solar energy systems, Victron came up as a first rate brand. Only heard that second hand.

Buy whatever Magnum will perform the way the old Trace 4024 did?

I understand Trace is not what they once were?

Pass thru, boost, ability to limit the unit to available power.

Which Magnum works like my old, big Trace?

happy coaching!
