Isn't the Auragen basically an alternator that produces 110 volt AC instead of DC?  Have you tried contacting Aura Systems directly, or are they out of business or something?

thats the trouble. The aura gen company went out of business a few years ago. I was hoping there was still someone who know how to install and work on them. I had it installed and working while I was in neutral. When I put in gear it went in to default. I was told it wasn't spinning fast enough. Changed the pulleys for more speed. Can't get to work again.

If it's defunct, why not just use a regular alternator and an inverter instead?

I would not waste any time on trying to fix anything that has no support or hope for parts from a closed company. Chances are some electronic part has failed that rectifies the current, and it might not have been a good design in the first place.

It is probably a diode bad all alternators are AC current converted to DC current,I have alternator off a Humvee that produces 12/24 volts plus a AC current terminal

450amp military alternator at 24v (28v charging) = 12,600watts! When I was at L.A. Freightliner, I had one of the parts guys run the cost of this alternator- $5,500 our cost! Good Luck, TomC

Strange that they still seem to have a working website.  (Well, not working today, but Google's cache is from Friday so it was working then.)  These were used in ambulances so I would try an ambulance service company to see if they can help.

I didnt think they were out of business after looking at the web site. There is a company in N.C. that works on emergency apparatus. they  used to work on them. When I called them they said they no longer have the software for them.
