Last year Craig (gumpy) posted about his hydro hot leaking fuel when running.  My webasto is also leaking fuel only while running.  I would like to fix the leak.  In the post string related to Craig's post there was a comment about just using a rebuild kit to rebuild the seals on the webasto to stop the fuel leak.  I've looked across several different websites using google search to try and find a seal rebuild kit for the webasto without any success.  Does anyone know what the part number for the kit is and where I could purchase it?  Thanks!

ShureMarine in WA has the kits lol you damn sure don't want to buy the pump I can tell you for sure BTDT

Contact Shure Marine in Seattle, Webasto dealers.  They are very good about technical support and parts.

Let us know what you find. On mine, the leak is in the o-ring that is behind the plate on the front of the fuel pump. I've been told my several, including Lloyd (who was very helpful when I called him), that Webasto does not sell that washer. They want to sell you a new pump for something like $400.

I got one at the hardware store and put in in last spring. I don't think it was fuel rated, so it will probably get changed soon. I got one last fall from JD, but have not had time to put it in yet.

In talking to the guys up in Seattle I was given the following suggestions:

1) Check the banjo bolts holding the fuel inlet and outlet pipes on the fuel pump.  They can loosen up over time and leak.
2) Check the fuel solenoid as it can leak

If those aren't the problem I was told the only other choice was to replace the complete fuel pump at a cost of $260.

I'm hoping it is a simpler/easier fix!  Will need to pull the head off first to see what I can find.

Thanks for all the resource ideas everyone!

If you can get a pump for $400...buy 2!!!  No, no...disregard that, I was thinking about the motor.  Carry on.....
