What is this? It's a Craigslist find. The guy says it's custom and has a 1000 gallon fuel tank. Wow.

Looks like a mid 90's Newell to me with the front generator, side entry door and the intake on the drivers side

Either A Newell or Featherlite maybe!!! Danged nice looking coach ,but I wonder if it is actually GM powered. With a thousand gallon fuel tank ,I would only have to fill up about once every five years .Around three thousand dollars for a fill up !!! WOW!!!

Newell is the only one that used that location for a entry door, and you could order a raised roof and that looks like a high roof to me,probably does have a series 60 engine

GM has not been affiliated with DETROIT DIESEL for about 30 years now. However, maybe this guy just likes GMC trucks and put that badge on there just for kicks.. I've seen PIERCE fire trucks around here with automobile name badges on the grill.
Just to have fun with low information people.
It does look a bit like a NEWELL now that you mention it.

I'm gla Clifford has spoken already as I had no idea what it was and was going to suggest it may be some kind of "Frankenbus" from Sam Walker or something like that.

I also was going to mention that short front entry door in the front bumper, but Clifford cleared that up too!  ::)

PS looking at buses on Ebay or somewhere I recently saw an MCI with a Chevy or GMC grill form the late 80's on it and GMC letters below the windshield!

BK the door on the front is for a roll out generator not for short people  ;D

Yeah I caught that after your first post, but before I read any of the posts I thought "Oh cool look at the short front entrance door!"
OH well can't be right on everything I guess!

In the 90's Newell would raise the entire roof or a section I think the ones with the rear roof raise were neat.I have no doubt that was a custom build Newell since that is the only way Blades build a Newell

Way back in about 1976 or so we made up and magnetically attached to the front body just below the windshields on our 1968 American LaFrance Century Series narrow body fire engine (pumper) the words ... HAULS ARSE.   Because it did.  Easily removable.  Fast for its day.  Pumped 8V71.  About 27,000 pounds.  Fuller T905 tranny.  About 75mph at 2400 rpm.

Long ago, far away.  Good memories.   Old old Engine 2.  Bakersfield Fire Dept CA.   ISO Class 1 then.  But ... the gas tank only held 50 gallons.  :)

Regarding incorrect manufacturer logo application...

Yes, from the religious order of busnuts, this is absolute heresy, burn them at the stake!

But, to many of the unwashed sinners, the badging on a vehicle is just jewellery, and they unwittingly just stick it on a different finger, on a different hand and on a different bus...

Please pray for them, for they know not what they do??

As for 1000 gallons.... maybe the units are mixed up? Litres is believable, the new coaches are running around with +800 litre tanks.

3.78 litres makes a US gallon

happy coaching!

Were is the craigslist link so we can look. It could be a Newell but to me it looks to be 96" wide not 102". Seems to look very narrow and high.

You can see for sure it is about 45 ft long

It does have many styling cues from a early nineties Newell like the door, front mounted gennie, and those big Ford 150 Headlights.

But it is NOT a Newell. Newell customizes any way the customer wants but the windshield, door arrangement, and radiator setup are NOT Newell DNA.
