I'm currently running Rotella 50 weight in my 8v92 and the Bus loves it excellent oil pressure at all times. Very very little oil consumption. There's a guy over on Facebook right now who is saying he got 2,000,000 miles out of an 8V92 running 15-40 in it.  I call bunk

Delo 100 was developed for the 149 series in the 60's a totally different 2 stroke engine with pods and overhead cams, FWIW,Delo RPM was the oil used in the 71 series before the 100 sales pitch came along.

Funny people rant and rage about the ash content and weight of the oil then don't care what diesel fuel one buys

Is there a link to the Facebook discussion? The link I found was more about showcasing different builds.

Our Heavy Equipment Mechanic at work has a drum of RPM that he's trying to find a home for.   I was hesitant about buying some of it because I couldn't find any info about it, but if it's OK for our 2-strokes I'll consider buying an oil change or two's worth of it.   What's the difference between RPM and 100?

If it is not the RPM S- 3 it will work for you. John the RPM S-3 was a high detergent for Cat engines, the regular old RPM was a non-detergent that Detroit's used back then , the Delo 100 hit the market 1967 the RPM was used from 1941 up till then
