After stripping my interior out, I had a couple of rust spots and a couple of cracks-mostly around the two doors (old transit bus). I welded up the cracks, wire brushed the rust, then spray painted the entire interior with Rustoleum primer. Then installed the horizontal 1x2 fir stripping, then had American Foam come out and spray foam the interior. Covered with 1/8" plywood that is either covered or painted white (on the ceiling). Everything is screwed together-makes for easy disassembly if needed. Good Luck, TomC

Thanks for all the suggestions.

None of the rivets seem loose, cannot find any leaks.

I have ground off most of the surface rust.

I will dowse everything with Ospho : https://www.amazon.com/Ospho-Skyco-Surface-Prep/dp/B000C02B3W

Making sure to get it up inside of the channels.

Then paint it with Rustoleum before having it insulated with Spray foam.

I also currently plan on painting the top of the roof with Kool Seal coating.
