Give me a call. I can't get either of your phones to work!

Clifford still has a phone like this in his kitchen mounted to the wall like Sheriff Taylor had.  If he is not eating he can't hear it ring.  You have to keep calling him. The best time to call him is when he is in the middle of dinner.

Are you calling him at BR549?

I tried all of those!
None worked.
We finally got a callback and drove up yesterday and had a nice visit.
Great to see him and Sonya again.

Gary, my first cell phone predated the bricks, it was built into a large size, beautiful aluminum breifcase! the breifcase was more expensive than the phone, tom...

Dear Clifford,

I am confused, lonely and slowly going out of my mind.  Perhaps you can allay my fears and provide me some relief from my all too present anxiety.

Today I actually got access to THE BUS CLUB and noticed someone in the chat room so I sent a message .... “What’s up?”

And he came right back to me, and we started to chat.

After a few moments he said to me.  “Can I just say what a relief to find somebody that genuinely understands what they are talking about on the web. You certainly realize how to bring a problem to light and make it important. More and more people have to look at this and understand this side of your story. I was surprised you’re not more popular given that you surely possess the gift.”

Pleasantly surprised I said to him, “Really?  Those in charge threw me off this board months ago.”

And then he said, “This isn’t Clifford?” and I said, “Oh hell no, this is BoxcarOkie.”

At that point my computer coughed, growled somewhat, hissed and acted like it was trying to cough up this huge hairball from Denny’s or something, then my screen went dead.  Shot me down faster than a Mau-Mau Fighter Pilot.

What do you think all that was about?

I see your profile has 6 ignores.....some of your posts controversial to average members?

6 ignores out of 4902 members I would say that is not to shabby percentage wise,I watch his ignores some time when he posts they will drop down to 2 or 3 and then go back up.
They should do away with the ignore button like the BNO  ;D if Gary Hatt didn't own the board he would probably be the king.
Gary is a good friend so you know before someone goes off he can take me poking at him he does it to me all the time

Personally speaking, I do not ignore anyone, find it rather stupid.  Would have to agree with Clifford, just get rid of it all together.  One of the great things about the Internet is the vast body of sites out there, where if one desires to live vicariously thru the lives of others, he/she can do just that.  In other words, "you don't have to settle for just anything."

As I grow older, I become more tolerant to those who malign me and give them a free ride in life (did that just recently as a matter of fact).  As Clifford pointed out, "it goes up and down" just like the tide.

It will roll in and then roll out again ...

Truthfully I have no idea if any of this is controversial or not.  I operate on the K.I.S.S. principle (Keep It Simple Smith).  Much like a lab rat or a test monkey for some pharmaceutical outfit I just plug along.

Let me illustrate.
The monkey jerks on the string, and the pellet drops into the bowl.  The monkey doesn't care who it is that drops the pellet, he just wants the pellet.  It makes no difference to him who it is.

As long as there is a treat in the bowl, after he pulls the chord and rings the bell, his world is just fine.  That is all that really matters to him, other than that, he could honestly care.

Six people ignoring me, now that is a shame, maybe I should try harder.

The ignore feature to me is like you something you would find on a kids game or blocking channels on a TV set from kids.If you don't like a post don't read it, I use the ignore feature either besides it won't let me ignore Gary Hatt anyways  ;D ;D

Clifford, how many of those members are around anymore? How many members or regular viewed average over last couple of years? It may be listed here somewhere, but I didn't see it. I wonder who has the most ignores? Maybe 6 is way below average. Dono..

I sometimes stab the wrong thing and later discover I have ignored someone accidentally.

I have never had the intention of doing that!

I agree the button is more trouble than it's worth. If I don't want to read someone's post, I just don't.

I am ignored by two, so I figure I am in the club.  I tried the ignore button once, but all it does is show a blank post where the ignored person posted something, and that would annoy me more than reading the post, so I turned it off.  I figure if I am going to be pissed off at someone, I want to be pissed off as much as possible for every possible reason, so why would I ignore them?   ;D  Mind you mostly I just enjoy all the posts from everyone.

Everyone else can ignore me Clifford. I set it up such that only you can't ignore me.   ;D  I like that look on your face every time I say something like this about you.   ;D
