If you want a good Eagle check out Randy Coons 01 on the Eagle International, it is a CA bus no rust and Randy is selling it because he purchased a different Eagle and it is in your price range for a clean well cared for bus with 8V92 with a automatic 740.
Be prepared to be interviewed he not going to sell it just to anybody lol.Another option if you do FaceBook, Buck Trout (Rick) has the BCI sales page and they list buses across the USA for sale

Hi John, all good suggestions, another is at B&B in LV, there is an Eagle, with a roof raise, rebuilt cummins I think, totally empty, good toralistics suspension. When I  was looking for an Eagle, 1st place I  looked for rust was under the drivers window at the electrical junction box, bad rust there, I  would walk away, lvmci...

Don't believe Cliff. If you buy a brand new bus and keep it in a climate controlled garaged and never take it out, it will never rust. On top of that, if you take it out in 30 years or more, you will probably be able to sell it for more than you paid for it.  Rumor has that Cliff has about 30 buses in storage like this now and is about to reveal a bunch of old 1970 - 1980 model Eagles and MCI's anytime now to put on the market to supplement his retirement.  ;D

Another place to check would be rvt.com.Go to the bus conversions tab. They always have Eagles on there for sale .Just checked and they only have one listed at this time .Sounds like a well cared for bus .Only thing is ,it is a 4 speed manual.Good thing is ,owner says it get's nine miles to the gallon.Don't know about the mileage when he starts back up the hill!!!!

All you need to do to work on a rusty Eagle, is to make sure your Tetanus shot's are up to date, and then go for it! Just make sure the price is right! ;D

I will say this about the Silver Eagle 01 that Randy Coons has for sale. The mechanics of this one is top notch. He rebuilt everything, brakes, bearings etc. etc. and a whole lot more. The Torques are in great shape and very little rust. I can't say enough good things about that 01. It's  8)

I sent you a PM.
