We have 5 750 amp 12 volt marine batteries that need to be replaced. Would we be better off getting 6 volt golf cart batteries? We have a 2000 watt inverted that runs refrigerator microwave bathroom lights and electrical plugs. This is for an Eagle bus.  Help me. help me pleeaase

6-6v golf cart should do it for you but 8-6v will give you 900 amp hrs

Please clarify - do you mean that you have 5 batteries that are 750 amps *each* or you have 5 batteries that total 750 amps????

If you have "marine" batteries they are rated in CA or CCA, in other words they are basically starting batteries.   House loads need deep-cycle batteries such as golf cart or scrubber batteries  -  their thicker plates allow them to be discharged down to 50% SOC without damage.   The cheapest deep-cycle batteries are for golf carts, and as long as you check their electrolyte levels regularly and charge them correctly they should give you many years of service.

SmartGauge has some good ideas on how best to connect them:    http://www.smartgauge.co.uk/batt_con.html   Their website has plenty of other good information.

Measure your space available. There are taller 6V batteries available. One is the 6CT that is 10.28 x 7.06 x 13.02 tall, weighs 90lbs each and is 300 amp/hrs. Also the L16 that is 11.64 x 6.95 x 15.73 tall, weighs 119lbs each and is 400 amp/hours. These are Lifeline AGM-very expensive, but zero maintenance, can be mounted on their side, and charge twice as fast (less internal electrical resistance). Go with 4-L16 for 800 amp/hours, or 6-GCT for 900 amp/hours. Good Luck, TomC
