I have a 1962 GM 4106 I am in the process of moving the wet air tank. After removing and cleaning I found a lot of rust pitting. So far a search on the internet cannot find anything close ( all horizontal) to replace. Any ideas ?

Bendix lists tanks. Also Luke may have a take off.

on my '04  I replaced the wet tank with a tank I scrounged from a bus yard, it was a horizontal but with enough ports to go vertical.  I also looked online and a lot of the tanks have enough ports to be used horizontal or vertical with a little plumbing.  I would not use an original '06 tank unless it was NOS as any tank in service that long will probably be rotten unless someone has bee very diligent in a nice dry environment.

Hey ZubZub, what # is your 4104? We have #129, it's a 53 also - Pacific Greyhound lines. Just curious

I think it's 356 but I need to check.  So if you have 129 you have the aluminum box beams(trailing arms) in the rear?  I ask as I do and they were might ily repaired at one point with extra plates etc.  Are  yours like that? Or are they all intact and original.
