What are the best satellite systems available?  It's hard to find comparative reviews on them

If you want it on a contract doesn't make any difference, but Dish will let you turn it off and on with the pay as you go.  The Kingdome tail gater also works well with Dish.

I'm already on Direct TV and will use it almost weekly.  (I'm in a band, and we play regularly)  Just wanting to know which one tracks best.  I had a KVH on my other bus, and it didn't stay locked on well.  I'm sure it was because it was an old system (10 yrs ago).  Thanks for your input!

I assume from your last reply you are looking for an in motion system?

Ours is not, we have a King Tailgater with Dish and it works great while stationary.

Maybe someone else can give you some input on which in motion works best.

We have an older KVH. It tracks well going down a straight road. I don't think any of them keep up well on curves. We use the receiver from home for Directv. They don't even know it isn't in the house any longer. The newer Genie box will not do this though. It receives from a focused beam. We loose our local channels, but you can get nationals to replace them.
