85 Eagle model 10 Need help with bus heat

The heat has been disconnected. There is no gate valve or plumbing on the engine block.  I don't know if I need the old blower system to operate the defrosters.  The previous owner told me that the controls were behind the dash and the coil is behind the front bumper.  There is no panel to open in the front bay where the blowers are suppose to be.  All I want is for the defrosters to work, I don't know what to do.  I need information.

Don't know if this helps as we own an Eagle 01. The fans for our original heater in the front are behind a panel located to the right of the driver, which are plumbed to the defrosters. If you have no plumbing off your block then someone has removed them and changed your plumbing to the front of the coach. The plumbing on ours runs down the center of the coach with the throttle and shifting linkage. Ours is not working either, disconnected at the engine, but the plumbing is still there. I plan to install a unit that I bought on eBay to replace the unit in the front that is probably shot, it has two fans along with two squirel cage fans and a heater core.

What kind of engine do you have?

Andy, sounds kinda cold! cant tell from what you said if the window def is gone from the windshield area. If its not, look again at the back around the engine for the shut off valves and make sure the shut offs are gone and the hoses are cut. If they are gone I think you have a summer coach!

Andy the heater core is located in the spare tire bay behind the front bumper and the blower is located just to the right of the driver under the dash.  You need two lines from the engine to the heater core to have heat.  One is the feeder and the other is the return line.  You should have two shut off valves at the engine just above the tranny one on each side of the engine if not someone has removed them and plugged them.  The hose is about 11/4 inch in diameter and they run through the center of floor with the other equipment.  You don't need the original bus air or heat for your defrost and driver heater to work.

Thanks for your replies I can go to work been out of town 2 days Im going to Elkhart tomorrow to start stocking up on parts for spring I found a new garrard awning for $750 I think its 18' long also other items that are really cheap prices. This conversion is going to be a blast to do. Nick I would love for you to help me with my bus heat would you be interrested in a trip to Indiana ??  HA HA
