Oh Yeah, that will work. Can you say, "Wreck" big time. Maybe they will have computer driven cars like google does now cause you put that bus around idiots that drive here in Texas and in would be toast in a block!

There was a recent thread here about this exact subject.   It seems a Rube Goldberg-ian way of doing things.   I still wonder why they wouldn't just build an elevated light-rail line above the road, like the old Chicago Ell lines, or better still just restrict the use of cars like so many European cities are now doing.   Or even better, encourage people to ride bicycles instead  -  oh wait, didn't that happen in the good ol' days before their communism morphed into virulently rampant capitalism . . .

I see all kinds of problems with this design, and I have been through the streets of Hong Kong with cars interacting with trolley cars (scary). The amazing thing is how the simulation shows the contraption bending with the curves as if it were made of rubber. How will trucks and buses go under it? Will the tires for this monster be made in China? What kind of tow truck can handle it when it crashes? Will the A/C units keep up with the greenhouse roof?

There are bugs to work out, but I would not pan the entire concept.  It seems to show in the video that larger vehicles would be provided with an additional lane to go around the bus.  In the lecture following the video, they explain how it will get electricity, which seems reasonable.  One concept they advance would not even require the installation of tracks.

DE- I also thought it was interesting that the vehicle seemed to slither around turns like a snake, but I guess that would not be essential.
