prevost fan blower switch

Guy's :I an in need of the blower switch (rheostat) that operates the defroster/air conditioner for the front dash on my 1993/94 Prevost bus .This is a small switch wit 5 wires on it and ain't much bigger than a 1/2 dollar.The Prevost pn is 870896 .Prevost wants three hundred and four dollars for this thing.Has anyone replaced this switch before? If so what did you use or did you just suck it in and go with the Prevost price? They amaze me .Some of their parts are very reasonable and some of them are out of site!!

I'd do some checking at Mohawk, Muncie, ABC.  Found that part number here for $25.24.

I have a 98 xl that I'm not using any of original switches. Can you post a picture and I'll see if it is in surplus switch box/ will cost you shipping.   Bob

BOB:The bus is in the shop about 60 miles a way at present,so I can't send you a pic.I really appreciate the offer ,but The Martz people have 5 of these in stock for about 26 dollars .I will try them tomorrow but If that falls through ,I will get my man to take this thing and I will send you a pic.Thanks so much Guy's for your help

This is a fine example of extraordinary pricing that is outrageous. It pays to look around and connect with fellow busnuts. In my case I do not need to worry about being overcharged for an Eagle part, they aren't around anymore.
