Rally topic: Repowering

The Southeast Bus Nuts spring rally is April 13 - 17 at Palmetto Cove, Cleveland, SC.
     On Saturday the 16th after lunch there will a tech discussion on repowering:
     Eric Brown of Bethel, NC will discuss repowering his Eagle 05 with a DD 12.7L Series 60 DDEC IV with Allison World 500 transmission. His project was finished in 2011, so he has several years experience regarding performance to share. The project took about six months of part time effort.
     Marty Nixon of Acworth, GA will discuss transplanting a DD Series 50 DDEC IV with an Allison MD3060 transmission into his MC-8. The motor went in in 2007, and took approximately three months work.
     In addition, four other members who have repowered with the Series 50 will be on hand to share their experiences. Two of these went into MC-8s and two went into MC-102s.

I would love to come down for this, since Iam in the middle of putting a 50series in my 9 now. If I wasn't bus less right now I would sure try to be there, I guess there is the motel option lol.

Too bad I won't be in the area.  I'd love to share my experiences repowering my 96a3 with an ISM and Eaton autoshift.  If anyone would like to know more I'd be happy to answer any questions.
