Yesterday we brought the bus home. The weather had been decent here in Alberta lately. We put the charged batteries in and she fired right up. Also we had the block heater on for a couple hours. The air started to raise up the bus in a couple minutes and no leaks. We had 40 kms to go but had summer fuel in her and so we stopped at a Co-op and filled it with winter diesel. At 75 cents a liter this was one reason for bringing the bus home. The fuel tank holds 700 liters of fuel. It rode like a Cadillac on the way home. I have a couple marker lights to fix and a good clean up inside and out but other than that no problems. We just can't wait for spring to turn her loose on the highway and get some camping in.

Wow!  Look at the size of those back-up lights!  :o

Nice rig, MC-2s are rare, nice to see one in apparently great condition.

Have fun with your new toy!

The back up lights are regular headlights and the previous owner said they are great for backing into   camping site at night. There is also lights on both side before the bays built into the body which shine backwards. Also for parking at nite and one also lights up under the awning.  Also he mentioned one flick of the switch and the guy with the brights behind you dims his immediately.

What's with the air intake on the roof? For venting or the engine intake?

The vent on the roof is for extra air for cooling the engine. It doesn't have a heating problem and this was put on the bus when it was converted. I know there is 3 big air filters inside the engine compartment and perhaps it would help the air flow to the air filters.

That looks sharp. Indeed, you don't see too many MCI's of that vintage.
