Drivers heat on MCI 9

We cannot seem to get any drivers heat on our MCI 9, we've opened all the valves and the water heating coil up front is not hot.  We removed the main water coil in the center of the bus and closed off the lines during our conversion.  Any suggestions on remedies for this problem?

Jim, sorry to say, but if you removed the main heater core/radiator in the center of the coach and capped off the lines, you disabled your dash heat. They aren't separate lines to the back of the coach dash heat and coach body heat. Same lines. The dash heat tubes are smaller tubes that come off that large heater core radiator in the center of the coach. This allows the rheostat in the front luggage bay to regulate the hot coolant flow for both the main heater and dash heater. Until the coach reaches a certain operating temp, it won't open because it doesn't want you cooling cool coolant by running fans over the heater cores until it warms up to operating temp at which point the valve will open and you'll have heat. Anyway, depending on how you cut and capped the lines, it may or may not be drama to get dash heat going again. But you'll most definitely need to do some brazing. Sorry

Scott I don't know if the 9 is different than my 8, but when I removed and capped the main cabin heater the lines going to the driver heat were unaffected, there were 2 tees dropping down out of the overhead tunnel for the main cabin heat I just capped them off and driver heat still works fine.

That sounds about right. I was just inside my 9 and looked carefully at the lines in my tunnel, and they share a common line with the main heater. I was looking because my main heat was removed and I wanted to get dash heat again and when I saw how the lines we run I was bummed. Maybe someone can chime in here who knows differently but I'm pretty sure that they share the line
