Fellows,

Are any of you running a Non Glycol antifreeze/coolant in your 92 series engines? If so, would you let me know the brand of the coolant?

Thanks,

Doug

All Detroit engines the gaskets and rubber seals ,head sets and liner o-rings are designed to use Ethylene Glycol based antifreeze don't change you are asking for problems. Labs are setup to detect Glycol in oil there maybe a few in the country that can detect the organic compound in antifreeze I haven't found one yet but I am sure they are out there now

Clifford,

I never gave any thought to future oil sample analysis?

Something to think about!

Doug the compressor is easy to air test start there, then reseal the water pump that can be done with the pump in place easy things first. You have all places covered where water can leak into the engine except for the after cooler and freeze plugs.
If no oil drops are showing in the cooling system the oil cooler is ok.There has to be some place there that pressure test that engine for you.
I chased a small leak for a longtime and found a freeze plug was dripping at the rear of the engine behind the bell housing that is a tough one to repair.damn I post in the wrong place Doug sorry
