Greetings!  For a PD-4104: What are the summaries on using expanding foam to insulate an interior roof. Aside from wiring concealment; I would like to keep an open roof line in my coach and expanding foam products may be the way to go. The original insulation and panels in my coach were well placed in the day but it is time to improve.  Also: Best wishes to all hiding from Santa in their shops!

I had both my bus and truck insulated by American Foam. Both at 2.25" and does quiet and make for a solid wall. It is one job I highly recommend you let professionals do it. It is a messy, nasty job. Once done with grinding, you have to clean up. The fine dust can get in the eyes and scratch. If you look at how American Foam dresses, they are completely covered with a helmet fed by a long hose with old Kirby vacuum running in blowing mode to give them fresh air. Plus they have several layers of lexan shields to be able to peal off periodically. Since when spraying it gets everywhere. And even with their professional equipment, about every 1/2 hour they had to stop and clean the nozzle. But once done, it is the best insulating method. Good Luck, TomC
