Squirrel cage fans for engine radiators on the MC-5. I'm putting new seals in the gear box but broke the drive pulley trying to remove it. Where do I find a new pulley? Its a variable speed drive pully by the looks of it. ??

A good welder can fix it.

Try Luke for a used one.

You can buy the pulley from MSC Direct or just replace it with a standard like MCI did

Yah good point, we can probably weld it. Ed I may take you up on that offer; I'll do a little more research.

What is the purpose of that pulley, is it supposed to be a variable speed sheave? If you open it up you speed up the fans?

I think I still have the one off my MC9. It's not made like yours. One piece. It might fit your shaft.

If you weld it, you'll probably need to machine it and have it balanced.

It's really a tension pulley on the old model 5's to keep the belt tight, most MCI with the air cylinder didn't use that pulley get Gumpy's pulley it will work

Along the same lines...How would I go about acquiring the smaller pulley that everyone talks about for my MC7?  Thanks

I got the gear box back from C&J bus and Steve gave me a box of parts to fix the pulley. So I'll be good to go.  Thanks for the offers guys.
