When buying counter sunk tek screws ,be sure to get the ones that require a #2 square bit. They won't wallow out like the Philips heads are some times prone to do.

I just about came to conclusion with the price of frgin batteries now,the wiring, solar panels, controllers and inverters your are better off just to run the generator.

Forget the rest it's a lot less expensive and trouble, then run you interior lights of the starting batteries like in the old days.People have gotten away from RVing now they want a miniature house on wheels

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has come to this conclusion! Besides Debby likes the noise and vibration from the generator, makes her sleep like a baby. ;D

Thanks, Bob, that's good to know.  And, yeah, I'm a fan of pilot holes for most tech screw uses -- I'm even a fan of pilot holes for holes.  I'll look for ones with the square drive inset.

What's wrong with the OEM factory mirrors?  If you say "I can't see anything out of them," then they're probably not adjusted properly.

the mirrors and all of the windows were busted out when i bought the bus. I had MCI install the windshields while the bus was in louisville but the windows i just taped up and drove back to TN. the church the bus belonged too was in a bad area. I've looked for replacement OEM mirrors but when i tried to take the ones on it now off they are stuck and i'm probably going to have to order new ones. where would I get the OEM ones. MCI has stopped making a lot of these parts. I've been in contact with them a few times about ordering things. I will try Luke and see what we can work out.

thanks for all the good help every one keep it coming. I went with the self tapping screws and some compound to hold the floor in place. its just the sub floor so when its all in ( tomorrow ) we can start the real build. hopin to have it up and ready for a PA christmas trip.
