I am looking for vents for the cargo bay with my generator. I am having trouble finding a site to purchase from. It is a Honda 7000IS inverter and will be located in the center bay on the passenger side. I am planning on boxing it in.
Thanks, Adam

What kind of vent? always open? What style? here is a start > http://www.mcmaster.com/#louvers

You can also have panels punch louvered > http://www.dowcoenterprises.com/

or you can make your own from expanded aluminum stock > http://www.grainger.com/category/aluminum-expanded-sheets/aluminum/raw-materials/ecatalog/N-gd7

and if you are looking for a fan that moves a lot of air and is quiet > http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009OBP5A6/

McMaster is where I got my louvers for the engine by doors. Aluminum.
Anything air cooled you should have forced fan cooling also. Good Luck, TomC

The fixed blade at mcmasters will be perfect. Had not even thought about the fan, thanks for the heads up on that. Appreciate you guys sharing knowledge and making my build go much smoother.

No problem, im in the middle of the same project.

Two other things to consider is http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006YLO52S/ they sell it in smaller sizes as well, it is great for converting sound into heat

and tractor supply sells 3/4 thick 4' x 6' rubber mats that are great for doing the same - and they are cheap! > http://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/rubber-mat-black-4-ft-x-6-ft?cm_vc=-10005

You can join the mats with 3M black weatherstrip adhesive if you need to..

Being in Canada I had a diesel mech friend tell me yesterday they would bolt four to eight hockey pucks down, one or two per corner of the genset, to help with the noise.  Canadians and hockey are inseparable.

Try a marine / boating store for their vents:  http://www.westmarine.com/vents   I bought three of the stainless louvered vents for my propane and battery compartments' doors. and a hose vent for my poo tank's upper vent pipe.   The stainless louvered vents are decent quality, made in Taiwan, so maybe they're also available from your local boating store?
