Hcklbery

Hello all.
Some vandals threw a rock threw my 1964 4106 passenger windshield and I live in this marvelous contraption  ;D
I am hoping to get this fixed this month before the winter sets in but the freight from Luke's US Coach on the East coast to here in the Pacific Northwest is frightfully expensive and to I'm a disabled Vet without the sufficient use of my arms to get this job done so If anyone knows where I can lay my hands on a 1964 4106 passenger windshield and possibly a new or fairly new usable in good condition rubber sealing grommet for this windshield and someone I could impose upon with the offer of some cash, a Red Lobster Dinner and a big grateful handshake to interest him to do the job could you please respond and let me know ?

Any leads would be gratefully received.

Thanks fellas
This is a 64 4106 4 sp shft 8v71/Appreciate ANY advice/info. A Rank Novice but learning.

Most larger auto glass companies should be able to procure one. It is a very common model glass. Fits either side and 4104,4106,4107,4108,4903,4905,h8h649,and h8h650's

I just talked to Luke about a windshield last week. $165 per side + 220 shipping to FL.

From what I understand the windshield gasket is not available so Im making my own from this > http://www.ebay.com/itm/291413069312

Looks like only 10 feet left. Before or after what you buy/bought?

There's also no note on whether that includes the locking strip or even if the locking strip is available.  The strips are pretty available at good auto parts stores but it would be really bad to need an odd sized one and not be able to find good fit.
Also, check out what you need. That strip has a wide groove to accept the glass and a narrow groove to accept a thin edge like sheet metal.  Does that match your bus?  If you need two wide grooves (i.e. if the other side from the glass is thicker than just sheet metal), then using a narrow groove seal might pinch the locking cavity so much that you might not be able to get the strip in.

That glass seal up on ebay looks like the kind where the rubber flap shown in the side view tucks back into itself to lock it and doesn't use the rubber cord like a lot do.

Hey Darkspeed! You have a place in Lakeland to get windshields--coach glass.   olebusman

All the straight runs of the gasket has to be molded on all 4 corners or it just pops out over time even with a locking strip BTDT

Coach Glass always includes the install in their quotes, they quoted me $735.00 for each side of the RV I picked the glass up in Phoenix they charged me $172.00 for each side lol I only broke one but was still cheaper than 1 installed . $533 is a little steep they must not stock the glass and are going to make it special.I am going to pickup a set of dark tint at the top for my MCI D and they are only $267.00 ea I pickup in Phoenix

Their shipping price is the same for 1 or 4 windshields fwiw same as Curved Glass another supplier of bus windshields
