Yep, leaf springs.  Those long heavy springie steel thingies that look kinda like ... well you know ... leaves.  Definitely NOT those funny dinky nerdy fake dumb silly not cool coil thingies that collapse and go boink without good shocks. 

You know what I mean.  One reason out of many why my old Crown Supercoach 40 foot 10 wheeler handled so good including running her right onto and over the hard sand beach at Crescent City National Park in Cal.  Try that!  HB

Once on top, she planned like a dirt bike.  A little bit touchy slowing down and turning around.  I hate being crazy.

Lol. Did our MCI's ever come with leaf springs? Maybe someone has a black and white photo of one equipped with them lol. You guys are fun and I enjoy razzing you every now and then

Hey I must point out that the MCI Couriers had leaf springs until the 1957 Courier 96 came out with air bag suspension. It was quite a big deal then. I have seen posters advertising the smooth comfortable ride of that new  feature.

When did GM buses first had air bags?

Gotta be cheaper than the one I ordered today for a Monaco with a modified suspension. It will be on the other side of a 1K bill by the time it gets in my shop door. For ONE bag!
