DD 8v71 rotation?

The wife's little 1972 Triumph manual uses the term "anti clockwise" I have other word I use when working on it

when you call the parts guy most times they ask for the engine serial number and then they tell you when they look it up. to me if the crank pulley turns clock wise then its clockwise. no 1 cylinder is almost always the front unless your dealing with perkins then you have to look, when you open the doors you are looking at the front of the motor. my manual says the flywheel end is the rear.
