Speaking of tune up kits...

I posted a couple of ebay links to two stroke tune up kits, and saw they were both incomplete, so I went and found mine to see what it had.  Remarkable collection of useful stuff.

It has;
A big socket for the high idle locking nut on the governor.
Two cleverly bent wrenches, 5/16" and 7/16", for adjusting the valves
Two little offset wrenches, 3/8" and 7/16", that I don't know what they are for.  Different offset on each end.
A cut-away socket for the fuel tube nuts.
Lots of timing gauges, I think I have more than come with the set because they are three different makes and they don't all fit in the space in the box.
A special pin gauge for setting the fuel delay modulator thingy.
A special gauges for setting the starting assist that you use on the injector rack.
A tube with several extremely thin feeler gauge foils that I think you use to set the governor gap
A standard feeler gauge set.
A .062" gauge for setting the Jake brake clearance (to be honest, I think I made that gauge)
A holder and around a dozen go-no go feeler gauges for setting valves the easy way.

And a thing I have no idea what it is for.  Flat steel, around 2 1/2" long by 1" wide, half-circle cut-outs on each end, and marked .200" and .170" which is the thickness of each end.  A gauge of some sort, but I don't know what for.  Marked Snap-On M3523, which gets you a timing gauge pin on Google.

Any ideas?

Edit - Oh Google is indeed your friend!  Herein is the actual page from an old Snap-On Catalog for the very kit in question.  The funny offset wrenches are for the governor gap adjuster and lock nut, and the funny gauge is for setting the governor gap.  Ha!  

And the extremely thin feeler gauges are .0015" for setting the exhaust valve bridges.

The gap gauges are for the old single weight governor about as useless as you can get mine haven't been out of the case in 30 years

I always told Snap/On they needed to toss those and furnish a wedge in their place

That must be why I didn't use it when I did the tune-up on my engine.  I set the gap per the instructions, used a screwdriver in place of the wedge and a regular feeler gauge to measure the gap, it was .003 or something small like that.  I feel oddly satisfied now knowing what it is, though!
