Lots of people are Fantastic Fan fans.
You don't have to believe everything you think.

Are your roof vents just small roof vents or are they also double duty big roof escape hatches?  Could you have both?  I am thinking right now having big workable powered roof vents that really work ... PLUS ... also maintaining or adding some more ways out might be doable and if so a good idea?    Could both be combined?  Dunno.  HB

After 15 years, I had one of my Fantastic Fan motors start making noise. Fantastic Fan sent me a new motor no charge. I wouldn't consider any other make of roof vent. Good Luck, TomC

Hi Guy's,

Did you know Fantastic Fan Co. sold out to Dometic earlier this year.

That means every 5 fan made will be broken... lol

I just purchased two NIB MaxxFan 4000's. I liked the twin lift supports and I got an unbelievable price spending only $200 for the pair. Here's the link to Camping World for a reference evn though mine came from a different place.

Actually Dometic has owned them for a few years now. They will still send replacement parts at no cost, however they do require you to pay for shipping.
Some are called, some are sent, some just got up and went.

Atwood bought Fantastic Vent in 2010 and then Dometic bought Atwood last year.

Anyhow, has anyone tried the new EZ-Breeze by Fantastic Vent?  It has a fixed cover so rain can't get in.  It does have only 1/3 the CFM of a normal Fantastic Vent.  It is inexpensive at less than $100.  I am wondering if inexpensive means cheaply made in this case?  I was going to put covers over my Fantastic Vents, but these seem like a better idea.

I've used a couple of these

and found them a good compromise. Fan can be run even when closed to give a little bit of air circulation and can be open when driving and pretty well rainproof. Doesn't need an add-on cover like the others.
Slightly higher profile when shut than some of the others but not much.

Tony Lee;  What are they?  Make and Model, or a link, please.

That is a Maxxair Maxxfan Deluxe.  Tony had the model name on his post when I first saw it, but he must have removed the model name.

Looks like my MaxxFan® Deluxe Model 7500K .  I three of these with the smoke colored cover. They have run without problem for three years.

Indeed it does appear to be a Maxxair.  I've been looking at them just now.  Very nice, top of the line.  Best price I've found was $263 on eBay for the model 7500K.  Pricey, but its a lot of fan.

900cfm.  Just for comparison, I looked at house bathroom exhaust fans (NuTone) and what I saw were only 110 cfm.
