Hey guys. Some of you have read in my previous posts the situation I'm in. I'm trying to find a good resource to learn about prevost models, PO Box 522, Eastanollee, GA 30538 their differences. For example, a LeMirage vs a Marathan vs an XL. Do you have any idea where I can learn more about the models and differences? Thanks!

The XL was formerly known as the LeMIRAGE.

The Prevost Community board is a good place to learn those guys are pretty savvy when it comes to those buses, lol problem may be you need to capitalize Prevost or they may not let you in, just kidding Jon

Bryan: The Le mirage started as a 96" wide coach in 1976', the XL went to 102" in 1983 (still a Le mirage), and a "Marathon" is a conversion of a Le mirage XL by the Marathon Conversion Company. There were later models (after 2001) called XL2 and XL2.2 then the LeMirage was been replaced by the X3-45 model a few years ago. To the best of my knowledge. Also learn how to pronounce it like they do in Canada. LOL Gerry H

I call Prevost every once in a while just to hear the lady say "Bon Jour. Prevost."  Thats "Pray- vo"  to us US hillbilly, lol.

Just remember those Prevost owners are so stuck up they don't even talk to themselves.

Don't forget the H models that were introduced in the early 90s.

What are you trying to learn, there are several of us on the site that have a Prevost. Some professionally converted and some do it yourself. I am still working on mine after 10 years. The curved windows are a real challenge when trying to frame them in. I at times wish I had just bought an MCI but I did not like the dual radiators in the back plus we like the look of the Prevost. We are both under 6' tall so I did not do a roof raise or remove windows and do skinning. I just covered the windows on the inside and did a side isle so we could have a full bathroom. Totally dislike the split center isle bathrooms, no privacy. Just like the site says we do it our way.

Yes the Prevost Prouds can be stuckup especially when your driving $1,000.000.00 plus rigs. But not all are that way. My Prevost would definitely not fit in to one of their rallys, it's a bus converted.

Bryan,
This is a great forum and so is Prevost Community. The Prevost Community folks are having a rally in Lakeland FL Nov 12-15. I went to the PC rally in Foley Alabama this spring and it was great. Everyone made me feel welcome. You'll see old classics like mine, all the way up to 2015 models. I think you'll find the PC forum and the folks at the rally friendly and helpful. Jon always guarantees the lowest sign up fees in town. As a member you can get fuel discounts, tire discounts and fleet pricing from NAPA parts stores, no kidding!!

True, however Prevost did build a Marathon model in the mid '80s that wasn't shipped off to the conversion company, it was designed to compete with the MC-9.  Not very many were built, but here's a couple for you:

RJ: Thanks for the info - I try to learn something everyday! Now I have. Actually I was quoting the info off Mac's bus info charts I got back at one of the conventions either Vegas, Primm or Laughlin, can't remember which, but they are good to look at every now and then and yield mostly good info.
