Unfortunate that your wife fell ill. The reality is it only takes less than a minute to pick up a phone , call, leave a message , text, email , write a letter to COMMUNICATE with someone your dealing with, especially over a few months?   really?
Obviously the car was the least of your problems at the time and you lost it, sorry Dude, get over it.

1K is quite a bit of money, if one doesn't make much. I really feel for the OP in this thread.

In the mean time, this thread is kinda interesting.  ;D Carry on ;)

Sold - MCI 1995 DL3. DD S60 with a Allison B500.

$1000 is a lot of money. I'm on a disability pension, my wife is the "bread winner" in the family. This car was a big purchase for us, a "toy". I can't afford to just forget that kind of money. I will try to post a picture of it.( I'll get my granddaughter to show me how) lol
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here, we might as well dance.

Plain and simple...you don't keep something that is not yours.

How do you justify keeping $1000.00 you did not earn ?

WTF  ???  The car is gone, he gave it away... bet he didn't give away the money.

Communication goes two ways... come get your car OR I am sending back your cash and giving it away... ::)

Hey Clifford, all of this smacks of the "Internet Bully" a couple of years back.  Remember that one?

Page after page of mind numbing opinions on a bully who never quite materialized.  Same thing here, "I got ripped off by someone, but I cannot say by who ... Why not?"

At least here, they cannot throw you off, refuse you access, or run you outta town, for reporting some dirty-egg sucking dog that stole your money.

Everything in life has trade offs.

Recently I got beat out of about $60 by some clown, but the price was okay with me, because I no longer have to deal with him or his _______ buddy.  I got rid of two irritants in my life, now they are gone.

Take your licking and stop every now and then to smell the roses.  This aint the end of the world.

An old friend of mine used to say, "A thousand dollars is not a lot of money unless you need it."

Anyway, since this thread appears to want to warn others to be careful when dealing with a particular person, maybe we should be told who it is that we should avoid dealing with.  It wasn't me, was it?
You don't have to believe everything you think.

You know I made a comment earlier that it costs about a thousand bucks to fill your fuel tank (little less now) and said to just forget it. Well I don't know the whole story and the money situation of the parties so if this whole thread just disappeared it wouldn't hurt my feelings. To the OP I sincerely hope your wife is well now
