How much play should there be in a 4106 brake S-cam?

Mine has some off axis play like the bushing is worn out or missing..

Do I have to remove the rear hubs to replace the bushings on the S-cams?

Any seals I will have to replace along with removing the rear hubs?

Also Im having a hard time removing the bolts that retain the rear radius arm to the axel member, do they all turn the same way?

Radius bolts should all be rh thread. That's the way my 4104 was. I did break one off in the front suspension. What a pain to drill it out and retap the hole!

They are all right hand threads.  Need 3/4 drive sockets and cheater bar plus liberal sprays of pb blaster. Or a GOOD 3/4 air wrench. Watch for axle/ body shift when detaching. Thank you! Yes I do have a manual I was just making sure I  was not missing something because pb blaster + 1" socket and pneumatic impact wrench did nothing to move them.
Tomorrow they get the torch for some pre heating.

If the pneumatic impact wrench is 1/2, it is not big enough.

Could be if it was a high quality Ingersol Rand with a big air supply and hose... ;D

Heat did not work... I scored a 3/4 snapon on ebay and will have it in a few days.

Im neck deep in rebuilding hubs until it shows up..

   Make sure to have 1/2 inch supply hose to get maximum torque. If harbor freight nearby, have hose reasonable, Napa has air fittings for the bigger hose. Hang onto the hose when disconnecting as it can wallop you if it gets away.
I have an IR 2135 1/2 inch plus 3/4 and 1. Most people won't spend the money on really good 1/2 inch, and many times, even that isn't beefy enough for chassis work. My IR 3/8th will remove the differential carrier bolts.
