hold a nickel (on edge) on the uphill end of a 4 foot level (between the level and the pipe...) raise the downhill end to the pipe. (underside) Reverse the nickel when grading on top of the pipe
check your bubble.

My toilet sits next to the the shower stall so when I piped the drains in I found a 3" connector that had an 1" 1/2 connector on the side of it so when the shower is used which is usually every day the shower water flushes the 3" toilet out into the black tank.
