Power Steering Pressure Line Filter - 6V-92

Hi guys,
A few weeks back I posted about fluid coming out of the PS resevior after the bus turns off.  I replaced the resevior filter and unfortunately the pressure is still forcing the fluid out the resevior (probably 1/4 quart worth) after the bus turns off. 

I just took the pressure line filter assembly off and will see if Napa can get me a suitable replacement for the filter element. 

2 questions - when I put the new filter element and housing back on, what is the best way to refill the system with ATF?   I assume pouring the ATF into the resevoir until its full, but that seems too easy to be the complete answer. 

Second question is for Clifford - a few years back you suggested a PS noise-reduction disk with the part # 3331991k.   Since I'm already working on the PS system now is a good time to try to install that part.  Only issue is I've been trying to find the part online and have had no luck.  You got any ideas?

The pressure line filter is, at least in my MC5C, washable. You wash it in solvent or similar detergent, dry it out, and replace it.

Fill the reservoir, run the engine and turn the wheel from stop to stop, and keep filling the reservoir until it no longer takes fluid.

I have never seen a filter in the pressure side. They are in the reservoir which is in the suction side. Maybe GM's are different then MCI's.

Usually a screen on suction side a filter on return line on hydraulic setups

Here is a picture of the filter from the return line.  Can anyone tell if this is a filter that needs to be replaced or is it a filter that needs to be washed in solvent?

If it's solvent, anyone know which solvent?

Parts cleaner solvent works good as any

It's washable brake cleaner and air should clean it,should be magnetic makes it a little hard to clean without air pressure The disk is a OEM part
