I don't know how much you gave for this bus ,but I can tell you someone has spent a mint on this already .I would definitely put this unit on the road.Doesn't look like it will take much .I have a Prevost myself ,but I'm a closet Eagle man. There is just something about an Eagle!! Just watch out for low over passes and be sure you have a foot ball field to turn it in.lol!!!

When you need parts remember it is a 1973 05 Eagle, you better check the suspension with the bogies removed the torques wear faster, the 2 axle from Eagles have a larger torque tube than the one with the bogies fwiw

Awesome! Thanks! So Bigred or Luvrbus, would there be much reason to add the Tag wheel and Bogie back in? Or not necessary?

luvrbus

To much trouble now to add it back just go with what you have I personally like the bogie setup any bus can have a tag axle lol only real buses have a bogie  ::)

Yep !! Trying to re install the bogie's would be a very expensive proposition by the time you got all the body work and the boogie's installed, you would probably wind up paying darn near what you paid for the bus.Like Luvrbus,I like the bogie's or tag's but not enough to go trying to re install them.Do you know who the converter was on this bus? Just curious because it look's professional .Heck,I'll bet they could have bought a bus conversion for a lot less money than they paid for the conversion .If in doubt ,pile your gear on the bus and head for a set of scales.I think you will find that six wheels is plenty for the weight you will be carrying.

Welcome to the bus forum! I am not an Eagle owner but there are many of them here. They should be able to answer anything you need. What area are you in? You mentioned wanting to travel in the mountains but did not say which mountains. My bus has an 8-71 and it will get around the Smokey Mountains but do not get in a hurry.
