school bus parts

  I know very little about school buses and how available parts are. Near my shop is a scrap metal dealer and a couple of days ago about 10 buses showed up in his yard. I drive by his yard on way to shop every day. School bus company in city changed hands and a little house cleaning happening. (Thomas and Bluebirds.) Likely many usable parts, including motors and trans. The scrap dealer is REAL easy to deal with. Have bought many parts from previous bus going through his yard. Just a little headsup for those looking and who might live in my part of the world-- (Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada)  Is there anything usable for me and my bus or is it all reaverite stuff ?

Are they dog-nosed or pushers?

Might find out what powertrains are in them, could be some interest.

There are some skoolie forums, might Google some and let that crowd in on the find.
