Could be as much as 3 Qts do not know but at 120 degrees, at the gauge, it just shows on the dip stick. Will look closer in the AM. Thanks for the tip on the Steak House. will be there tomorrow.

Check auto trans oil with coach idling in neutral on a level surface.

The temp was at 160 when I pulled in and shut down. Needed to level up by the time I checked the trans oil the temp was 120. Checked it at 500 RPM in neutral. What is the highest temp I should expect or want to see? Thanks for your help!

luvrbus

They run about the same temp as the engine most of the time but normal operating temperature range is 180 to 220 degrees that is what they like best.Enjoy the Steak House it is out in the middle of nowhere but worth the extra few miles

Want too say thanks to everyone that helped me with this issue. Added 4 qtrs. of 30 w Valvoline motor oil. Will change the oil after I return to Washington State. First I will take an oil sample from the engine, 6v92, trans and the dif. The travel to El Paso was uneventful. I checked the trans oil twice in the 240 miles and watched the temp closely, all fine. Boomer said I should compare temp gun temp to gauge was within 10 degrees.  Stayed between 150 and 190 depending on the pull and the gear I was running in.
Claim Jumper, We were in Fredericksburg until yesterday stayed at Ladybird Johnson RV for 10 days. Nice park for the price. Too bad we didn't meet up there. Thanks again to all.
