What's weird about this Eagle conversion?

Saw this on youtube. Did they....raise the windshields? What on earth?

Said it's a 58. Not sure if that was a standard look then or not, but it's possible they raised the driver floor up level with the rear floor. That's been done a few times
and essentially raises the dash and windshield height, too.

Here's another look at it.  I'm certain that's what they've done. They installed a side entrance and raised the front floor to be even, pushing the windshields up into
the cap. I don't particularly like the look of the front end, but would like to see details on the build.

For me the weirdness is more to do with the missing headlights...makes it look like something blind and ugly from the bottom of the sea.

Check that other new thread about a nice Eagle for sale, paint scheme hides the raised windshields.

Bingo. I totally missed that, but you're right. Put some headlights in and a bit of smooth siding just below the windshields and it would
look really good to me.

Still, not a bad looking bus.

You see a lot of 01 and early 05 Eagles people have taken the OEM front and mounted the later front ends on with the headlights in the bumper even some late models of the 15 had head lights in the bumper

Wonder if it is hitch weight thing with that big trailer?  Also there was a lot of black smoke.  Just me or is it enough to discuss?  My old Crown Supercoach had no visible smoke at all.  HB of CJ (old coot)

If you'll notice, the black smoke appeared at the beginning of the acceleration. As the engine got up past the lugging point and into it's normal operating RPM, the black smoke disappeared. Typical of N65's that don't like to operate below 1,600rpm. Good Luck, TomC

The quicko headlight installation and missing windshield wiper make me think he may be in the test driving period. He has four headlights  and a paint job when towing the trailer. Very nice bus with a bit more front end detail- bumper, lights, etc.
