Help me please. I have a 1968 GMC fishbowl transit bus conversion i recently purchased. problem is the previous owner installed a new motor and trans but never finished hooking anything up. the bus is a pd5103 with an 8v71n and a vs8-2. I need some pics or diagrams of how the plumbing and electrical are sopposed to go. routing of the tranny hydraulics and air lines are the most crucial info i need. even after purchasing a manual for the trans i am at a loss as to hook it up. have a very large pile of hoses i know go on there somewhere. also some good pics of the air throttle and shut off for the motor. cooling and exhaust i think i have figured out. Thanks to anyone who can help. i am located in alberta canada and cant even find one near by to go look at. thanks again

Make sure the engine is left hand rotation before you start. I would also highly recommend getting parts and service manuals before you start and while you can still find them.

Welcome Monster I have a 68 5303 with a 6V71 in Saskatoon not that far from you. :)  I have a 8V71 and a VS 2-8 that I just took out of the shop.( originally from a fishbowl )
The plumbing is very similar on both need to ask a few questions.
Do you have shutters on the bus?? do you have air dryer?? as these two items add extra lines running from different areas.
The air throttle is fairly straight forward except where it is tapped in.
I'll see if I have old pictures during my conversion from VH9 to the V730 as the lines for the Vh9 are similar to the VS2-8 set up except the electric solenoid on the VS2-8   (I installed a Stone Bennett shifter )
