I have about given up on posting pic.  237 is the lowest my camera will go. Others have the same problem as they have said!  resizing is a bitch.. I have tried manual lower setting and Pic become blurry. Not going to invest in better tech for just posting. Doing a headlight upgrade on the Prevost now that might be interesting to all. In this case pic would tell all.  Thanks for any help you can give the lest tech savvy.   Bob

I've not seen a forum with good photo capabilities.  Why dont you throw them on Picasa, Imgur or any other photo hosting site.  No size limits there.

Bob, PhotoBucket.com it's free and you can just upload all your photos real easy and then you can take them from there by copying the code at the picture and paste it here any size. Or link it like I do and then if someone want to see some they just go to your link. HTH

If you use Photobucket, it's easy and free. All you have to do is copy/paste the IM code into any post.

Bottom line it's harder than most sites and a lot of people won't even attempt to do it. I like the sites where you can go to YOUR picture file and grab a pic to post.

A litter Leary of storing pictures on someone else's site just so I can post them here or elsewhere.  Clifford is right about other sites and FB definitely makes it easy, that's the way it should be and will be soon everywhere else, they have set the bar sort of. A lot of things CAN be done, but why jump through a bunch of hoops to do it?

Sorry but that's funny. People worry about pictures on Photo Bucket but don't worry about them on Facebook? If you have pictures on any site including your own they are everywhere and you have given up your rights to them without even knowing it.
I had a customer that sent me ideas she wanted to use through Pintres and I didn't even send her anything back. She had to put my e mail address in to send it to me. Next thing I know I am getting email spam from them and I see some of my pictures on their site and others that I never sent to them. We have no choice anymore. Put your email ady into a browser and see what comes up or your name or Business name.

There are some who still use Internet access with low caps on the bandwidth allowed per month.  Larger pictures uses up their bandwidth faster.

That said, it would be nice if the limit was at least double what it is now.  We should feel lucky that picture attachment is allowed at all.  I am on other forums that don't allow attachment of pictures at all.  It is required to have the pictures hosted elsewhere.

A automatic filter that resizes the picts to whatever size is required would be a relatively easy addition. Good Luck, TomC

If people find putting pictures easy on Facebook, why not just post them here from there?. Just did this one at random to check it worked. It does.

Unless such a filter is a standard option with the forum software that would be a very difficult thing to do - it'd require someone with a lot of knowledge to hack directly into the SMF code

[Edit] - for those that don't know - right-click on the pic on Facebook and select "Copy image URL" (or whatever the equivalent is in the browser you use), then, when posting here, click on the picture icon (second icon from the left, above the smilies), then put your cursor between the two tags that appear, right-click again and select "Paste". That's it.
A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

I wrote a reason why! response-hit post =It disappeared.  To sum it up I don't want to be any more tech savvy than I am now. No facebook etc. When it gets to be a aggravation I just quit.  I really think many feel the same way.  Just me =had rather work on bus than fight with computer.  Bob

I notice this site has a Facebook page just like BNO I fought FB for years it's not that bad lot more goes on there than on these boards now even some of the old guys from here contribute there again but I not going to twitter   ::) F B does have have more to offer and only it takes a few minutes to get the hang of it with photos or videos that is the part I enjoy.

FB did put Paul Lawry out of a job I no longer need to PM him a photo for him to post for me, heck you can even sell a bus, parts whatever without any bs you would like the Prevost FB page Bob you can ask the Prevost techs a direct question
