I thought it was about time to service the suspension filter , went to the parts bin and realized  none left called MCI parts they informed me they no longer stock, its a discontinued item  any one no where or who would carry . Its a bendix part but they don't list either .
Thank you

Ok, well, I've owned my coach for 14 years, and this is a new one on me, so clue me in.  What's a suspension filter? Where is it located? and what do I need to do to service it?

Its in the front wheel well housing. It is basically just a house about as big as a fist and has a 2.5 long string filter in it with a drain on the bottom. It takes any water or oil out of the suspension system. It is between the wet tank and the park tank. I wonder if only MCI's have it. I changed mine to a water/oil/ particulate filter with a drain on the bottom and i plumber it into the fron tool compartment so I just have to clear it when I do the rest of the tanks.

On the busses that are in commercial service we drain all tanks and suspension filter every time were back at home base , if u don't drain them your leveling valves will get plugged up and get lazy im not sure what other problems other then freeze ups in the winter months it will cause

Ok. Well, I think I know where it is you are talking about, but I honestly never knew what it was.

There are still some things I need to learn about my air system. That's probably my weakest point on my coach.

Dave,Prevost has a filter they call it air accessory filter protects all things in the air system it's easy to change and owners don't do it then the fight begins with the over engineered air system

Our busiest time of the year is in the winter , and we need to keep every part of the coach in top condition a filter that cost a few dollars  obstructing air flow or pressure can potentially cost you thousands and thousands of dollars  . I like the idea of that spin on filter that makes things alot easier .

Craig - the suspension filter is on the passenger side back wall of the front wheel well compartment on the inside of the air beam.  I have replaced mine twice.  The first time when I originally went through the air system when I bought the bus and then a couple years ago.  It is easy to replace.  4 bolts hold the bowl on.  You know you have the right bowl if you also see it has a drain on it.  I bought my last filter from Mohawk MFG.
