So I am trying to clean up the wiring before I test the negative ground conversion.  I can't believe some of the  hacking that was done with the wiring on this bus and how dangerous it was.  I am surprised it wasn't burnt down with the one wire that was totally melted and running directly from the stop/run switch.  Gauges wired directly to things instead of running through the amphenol connectors and through the panel.  Crazy.

You have to keep in mind it was built in the 50's; many owners over the years and electrical/ electronic expertise is the weakest area for mechanics in general and especially owners. It amazes me how well built and designed they are.

Yes, but some stuff was just being lazy.  Not sure why there are so many ground wires tied to each other and hope that some of them are really grounded and not shorted against the body somewhere.

;D I got a good lesson in converting from positive to negative amazing how many grounds turn hot when you hook up the batteries I finally used a inline 30 amp fuse with 10 gauge wire till I found all those suckers .

Owners can be creative with wiring being lazy I don't think is the reason it's they don't any better and the brother in law saying this will work or at least the brother in law gets the blame in most cases  ;D
