Thought there was a thred on hear a while back with some pictures of raiseing the center of the rafters, to get you bus in...did the search but no luck...

Yeah, seen the thread  also and can't remember solutions to problem. Wood construction? What you got now and how far to you need it raised?

Wood trusses 12' high want to go 14' DOWN THE CENTER 10-12' wide , somebody had pics looked like a easy deal..

You are going need to know were the live load and dead load is on the trusses top or bottom any truss company can tell you

I think it may have been a thread Belfert started asking if busnuts would buy a house he was looking at which had a shop but the door was too small. Do a search on Belfert and , "would you buy".  Sorry. On a tiny computer so it's not convenient to search it myself.

Agree with Clifford and also they could draw up a fix or change if needed with gusset placement etc. Although sometimes they will engineer in a couple of beams to carry the load or tell you it needs to be a replacement.

In the old days we used to make them on the jobsite ourselves and then they decided a way to charge big bucks to put a stamp on a plan and ruined all our fun, LOL ;D

Since the city wouldn't allow a roof rise, I went the other way and lowered the garage floor enough to allow my bus to drive in without having to let the air out of the tires.  Since the bus is diesel I'm not worried about gas fumes collecting in the mini pit and best of all I'll have an indoor casting pond to fish in when my bus is retrired and I'm too old to drive 8).  Jack

Heres trusses  goin to have local enginer look at it monday ,tryin to get idea on what its going to cost to get my bus in before we make first offer on place.. mesurd today they are 10' whant to get 13-14'
